Chris Brown goes HAM on Raz-B on Twitter

If you're following Chris Brown on Twitter or were able to see the many RTs of his Tweets, and you already know.. He went ham on this dude, Raz-B (Former Singer in B2K). Raz-B started the entire conflict- however we're going to start with Chris Brown's response, and then Raz-B's initiation of this whole Twitter-War -- ALL to end in the winner of this cyber battle, lol --

@CHRISBROWN

@razb2k n*** you want attention! Grow up n****!!! D**k in da booty a** lil boy

I ain't deleting my tweet either!! I was minding my d**** business and Peter pan decides to pop off!!! #whatalame

@razb2k when you fart it whistle #walnutbandit

The argument lasted longer than your career @razb2k

--
#Pause for the Premise..

The Premise -- It was all fine and dandy when Raz-B is on Twitter- tweeting about how he promised to hold Rihanna like a pillow and make her feel right (his apparent Celebrity crush). But, then he went on to say THIS - which prompted Chris Brown's (above) response in the first place:

@RAZB2K

I'm just sittin here Thinking how can n**** like @ebenet & @ChrisBrown disrespect women as Intelligent as @HalleBerry11 @Rihanna

(Brief insignificant tweets)

@Chrisbrown Do you hit your boyfriend @andre_merritt like you do your women?

@ChrisBrown I luv how u resort 2 disrespectful low brow tacticts when u clearly sabotaged ur own career by beating women!

Ur not homophobic, ur juz homosexual on the low! RT @chrisbrown I'm not homophobic! He's just disrespectful!!!

(Blah, Blah, Blah)

Fall back @RickyRomance I got this #Womenbeater

In the end Chris Brown trumps by posting the following PIC --- DRUM ROLL PLEASE -->

Nicki Minaj graces the cover of KING Magazine JAN 2011

Not only does she look amazing on the cover of KING Magazine, and subsequent photos- But, I'm looking forward to more of what she has to say in the interview. Thus far, the sneak peak reveals that Nicki is aspiring to delve more into the world of acting, and prefers a man that understands her complex mind and world- but knows how to take the reigns and be a Man. After reading the sneak, I definitely wanted to give Nicki a high five- She seemed careful to say exactly what she wanted for herself and did it (thus far) rather articulately.

Giving Back

On Christmas Day (Saturday, Dec 25) - At Oasis (1813 M Street NW, Washington, DC), the party kept in mind the spirit of Christmas and held a fundraiser and toy drive for DC. Ebou Taal, Terry Fraiser, Todd Hamilton, Ousman Ba, and DJ Armageddon presented "A Christmas Story", a fundraiser and toy drive goaled to support The Enchanting Women Foundation. EWF’s mission is to provide service to disadvantaged teens, battered women, homeless women, and female entrepreneurs. During the event, party-goers were able to take a sneak peak at the new retractable rooftop at Oasis and complimentary admission was granted to all those who donated a Toy. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres were served from 8pm – 10pm and a Complimentary Open Bar was open from 8pm – 10pm. DJ Analyze and DJ Armageddon were behind the tables.

I just received a message from Ebou Taal saying-
The toy drive was a huge success. We got over 200 toys donated and raised $1500, with which we bought more toys to distribute to children in the low income areas in DC and in shelters.
The true meaning behind Christmas is the act of giving to others. Congrats to the entire team on a job well done from start to finish.

On Monday, Dec 27 - In Baltimore, The Fab Empire did some giving of their own. They collaborated with E4GP, Divas, and others for "Coats and Cocktails" where they raised over 200 coats for the homeless of the DMV. This was The Fab Empire's 3rd year of holding this charitable event. It was supported by the finest in Baltimore Nightlife. It was great to see so many people having a good time, all around a huge pile of coats they had all donated. This posh event demonstrated that you can have a good time while contributing to a good cause. The music was soulful and light, served by DJ P-Chris, and the atmosphere was refreshing.

The DMV Welcomes : Wiz Khalifa

(Baltimore, MD) -- Wiz Khalifa is blazing through Bmore today and tomorrow on his Waken Baken Tour with a double dose of live performances! Recently winning the "Hottest Breakthrough MC" Award from MTV - He's hitting the stage at Rams Head (20 Market Street, Baltimore, MD) with an outrageous concert in store. Mac Miller performs on the Tuesday concert! Tickets were on sale at ramsheadlive.com for $25 - Unfortunately, it both shows are completely SOLD OUT.

To catch you up on a little history, Wiz is from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania - although he traveled around the world before reaching High School, due to having parents in the military. Cameron Jibril Thomaz is his government name. His stage name derives from the world "khalifa" which in arabic means "successor" and then secondly, the word "wisdom" which was shortened to "Wiz". His name is also said to stem from being called "Young Wiz" when he was younger because he was good at everything he did. His first mixtape came out in 2005 and was called "Prince of the City: Welcome to Pistolvania". He later went to release his first album "Show & Prove" in 2006, then "Deal or No Deal". His most recent work stems from his HOT Mixtape, "Kush and Orange Juice" which is free for downloading and was released in April 2010.

Before continuing with his Waken Baken Tour 2010, police found him with 2 ounces of Mary Jane in his tour bus which caught him charges for marijuana trafficking, a felony count of maintaining a vehicle for sale or storage of marijuana, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of paraphernalia. He was released after posting a $300,000 bail and we are honored to have him performing live this week in Baltimore City.

Since he's been signed to Atlantic Records, his career is sky-rocketing. You can find him on the latest CD's from Dirty Diddy Money and Jamie Foxx. To get a taste of some more of his music and what is in store for the Waken Baken Tour performance, I checked out slew of videos - and this one I loved. You can also check out the "Black and Yellow" video below, as well.

The DMV Welcomes : The Roots

(Washington, DC) -- Tonight and tomorrow night, the legendary band - The Roots - will be performing live for two sold out shows at the 9:30 Club (815 V Street NW) in Washington, DC. With a total of 10 Studio Albums, and 12 Overall - This show is guaranteed to be heaven. A couple of hours with The Roots is enough to cure your fix for authentic and purely live music. The Roots don't do it too flashy, but their music has enough illuminating from it that you will enjoy this show with your eyes closed.

This ground-breaking band was founded in 1987, out of Philadelphia, by ?uest Love (Drummer, Ahmir Thompson) and Black Thought (Tariq Trotter, Rapper) - and currently consists of QuestLove, Black Thought, Kamal (Keyboard), Frank Knuckles (Percussion), and Captain Kirk (Guitar). Their first EP was released in 1994 entitled "From The Ground Up" - From there they went on to release albums such as: "Illadelph Halflife" (1996), "Things Fall Apart" (1999), "Phrenology" (2001), and "How I Got Over" (2010) - to name a few. The band is very familiar with the Billboard Charts, as they've graced them often. They became the House Band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in March 2009.

Their latest collaboration Album with John Legend entitled, "Wake Up" was released this year on September 21, 2010. The Roots are known to hone into the issues that our world faces and address them through their music. QuestLove and John Legend comment on the idea behind their album and the various singles in the "The Making Of "Wake Up"" (I've created a link at the bottom of this post). In the leading single - "Wake Up" - a segment of the lyrics says "The world won't get no better, if we just let it be." Check out the Video below.

You can get a taste of what a live experience with The Roots would be like by watching this In-Studio video of a song called "Little Ghetto Boy". The tickets for tonight's show is SOLD OUT, so hopefully you got yours before they became ghost. There are quite a few live videos of The Roots, but here's one I hadn't seen and you should find refreshing on this Music Monday. My favorite line of Black Thought's in this track is: "Humble beginning, but a star is what became of it all" when he talks about growing up in the city of Philadelphia.

But, let's not forget the HISTORY... One of my favorite songs of all time - from the album "Things Fall Apart" (1999), below >> The Grammy-Winning - "You Got Me" featuring Erykah Badu & Eve.

DMV Stand Up for Wale

I’m sure – by now – you’ve heard the widespread snippet of Wale going off on 92Q about their interview with Bossman along with Bossman’s Diss to Wale. InsiderNights.com will be the first to stand up and say it – This was one of the realest moments of radio history where an artist stands up and says, in essence: I represent you, I create my music, I support your brand; and you have the audacity to showcase this disrespect in my own city (Correction: Region).

I do realize that radio is meant to entertain, but to what extent. I do believe there is a limit to the commentary and level of importance. Secondly, it’s certainly time to stop giving artists the platform to boost their career off of dissing another’s. If you can’t create your own story and lyrical content without putting another artist’s name on the title or subtitle – Sit down.

With that said- If you haven’t heard it as of yet – Here it is.
